CLINICAL ASSESSMENT OF FEMALE INFERTILITY

 

   The basic tests which help us in diagnosing the infertility problems of females are,

  • Hormonal analysis:- especially FSH, LH, Estradiol, Prolactin, Testosterone, Thyroid hormones.
  • Hystersalphingography  / Sonosalphingography :- to assess the tubal patency.
  • Diagnostic Laparoscopy - to assess the status of uterus, ovaries and the tubes and also to know about endometriosis
  • Folliular study - to assess the ovulation & also the endometrial thickness.
  • Test for viral antibodies - This may be producing infections, abortions, etc.
